Rahmah Kamarulzaman
Rahmah is a visual artist who works in the medium of both analogue and digital photography, exploring the intricate relationships between people and objects. Her interest focuses on compulsive habits and obsessions through the human psyche. In recent years, Rah’s photographic body of work focuses on the borders of hoarding — an inability to discard possessions — and collecting, questioning the connections between both and asking what makes one normative and the other pathological. Her practice reveals long-standing interests in psychology, ties to material objects and altering the narratives of objects and found materials. Rah attained her Diploma in Fine Arts specialising in photography from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2017 and is graduating from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA(Hons) Fine Arts in 2022.
