Steven Myat Ko @ Zeyar Myat Ko

Steven was born in Hpa-an, Burma. He moved to Singapore in the early 2000s and attended public schools, and is graduating with a Diploma in Fine Arts from LASALLE. He is practising film, design, collage and photography, exploring multiple unconventional media and experimental practices. He is currently researching on mythology and philosophy, by merging ancient and contemporary lore into works of art. The use of found objects, graphic design, collage and photography goes hand-in-hand with his belief in purpose and non-purpose art. His theory of art is inspired by John Dewey’s philosophy of aesthetics, logic and social thesis.
