Andy Gan (Dan Gryzon)
Andy is graduating with a BA(Hons) Music degree, specialising in composition, from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2022. He is a composer, songwriter and arranger, and has attained the ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano (2010) and Violin (2012). He started composing music as a form of catharsis, and aims to explore and expand his musical knowledge and artistry as a composer. Andy’s goal in music is to create songs that will resonate with listeners and unite people, regardless of music genre or language.
Work
Andy’s notable performance was in The Living Composers Series, where he performed his original piano composition 'In A Dream'. He releases his own music under the artist name Dan Gryzon, and collaborated with alumnus Ilina Hats in 2021 with two songs, 'AURA' and 'Make It Through'. The latter was featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist and has reached over 10,000 streams on Spotify since its release.
He has also collaborated with alumni Aisha Ayesha, and they became one of the finalists in Projek Lagu, a songwriting competition organised by Mediacorp Suria in 2021.
