Cheong Xin Ying
Xin Ying is graduating with a BA(Hons) Music degree from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2022. She specialises in electronic music, and has performance experience in cello and piano, having achieved the ABRSM Cello Grade 7 and ABRSM Piano Grade 8. Xin Ying is inspired by various genres of music, and her current area of interest is composing instrumental music. She has experience in composing music for films, doing sound design and audio-visual projects. With great interest in music, she is keen on doing collaborations as a performer and composer.
Work
Serene is an audio-visual project by Xin Ying, where the visuals were created using p5js, a Javascript library for creative coding. The audio was composed on Ableton Live.
The Journey is another audio-visual project done by Xin Ying, with video footage captured using analogue video synthesizers. The video was processed on Adobe Premiere Pro, and the audio was created using Ableton Live.
