Leon Markcus is a music artist based in Singapore, most notably known for his bubblegum pop tracks off his sophomore record Welcome to Hot City. He was also a recipient of the Matchbox Grant by the National Arts Council and NoiseSG in 2017 for the production of his collaborative work with Jeff Hue for ‘Alive’.

Markcus is an artist who seeks to engage his audiences through his performances, songwriting and visuals, and challenge and push the boundaries of what it means to be a performer. On top of that, Markcus has also dabbled in music production, acting and modelling. Markcus aims to provide his audiences with a glimpse into his world, with the hope of providing comfort for individuals who feel they might be a little too unique for the world.

Work

Markcus' debut EP Mannequin (2016) charted at No. 1 on the Singapore iTunes Pop Chart. Markcus' latest body of work Welcome to Hot City charted at 4th & 6th on the pop and all music genre charts, and includes favourite tracks such as ‘Hot City', feat. 2019 Eurovision finalist Bilal Hassani, as well as ‘Forgotten Natives.’
