Nadia Margawi
Nadia is an aspiring musician from Semarang, Indonesia, and is graduating with a BA(Hons) Music degree, specialising in electronic music, from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2022. Music has been a part of Nadia's life from an early age. She started classical piano early on, taking the ABRSM curriculum, performing in local events and taking part in competitions. During her years in high school, she started to develop an interest in songwriting, music production and scoring for media.
Now, Nadia writes music with piano and electronic elements and is open to exploring different genres in her writing. Her music is profoundly inspired by nature, stories, and other forms of art, as well as her own emotions. She has recently developed an interest in film/game audio and music.
Work
Nadia had the opportunity to be involved in composing original scores for films Alighting for Lola (2021), Okusan (2021), Mera Bhai (2020) and the documentary film Nichol Doesn’t Eat (2020). She has also done video works on p5.js, a JavaScript library for creative coding, such as 'A Splash of Serenity'. Nadia has also worked on audio-visual projects such as 'Glitched Whispers'.
