Verena Wirasaputra
Verena was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and started playing the piano at the age of five. She completed her DipLCM in Piano Performance in 2014 and has won awards in several piano competitions internationally. Recently, she won the Gold Award at the Asia Arts Festival (2021) in the Diploma and above category, and she won the Silver Award at the Singapore International Chinese Piano Competition (2019) in the Professional category.
Verena graduated with a Diploma in Music from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2019 under the tutelage of Mrs Rena Cheung Phua. She is graduating with a BA(Hons) Music degree, specialising in classical piano performance from LASALLE College of The Arts, under the tutelage of Mr Benjamin Loh. Her passion and love for music has led her to teaching private students as well as work as a part-time teacher at The Music Suite.
Work
Verena has been involved in many performances, including Classical Cornucopia (2022), Piano Voyage VIII: Night at the Opera (2021) and NAFA Piano Platform (2019). She was also in the NAFA Choir and performed Die Fledermaus Operetta at NAFA's 80th Anniversary (2018), Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 (2017), Rossini's Stabat Mater (2017) and the 250th Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Marathon Music Concert (2009).
