Aaron Matthew Chen (Aaron Matthew)
Aaron is a budding sound engineer from Singapore, who goes by the professional name Aaron Matthew. From a young age, Aaron has always loved music, having learned to play the guitar in primary school and learning the piano by ear when he was in National Service.
Now, Aaron is a sound engineer equipped with sensitive ears for whatever music comes his way. He is also a songwriter, drafting melodies and crafting lyrics with heart and soul.
As a sound engineer, Aaron has experience working on songs with local artists and has also worked on numerous LASALLE live productions. As an artist, Aaron released his first full album VALLEY in August 2021. Driven by purpose and conviction, Aaron aims to take the industry by storm.
Work
Aaron was the head of audio and QLab operator for the BA(Hons) Acting production Homesick (dir. Peter Zazzali). He also served as the front-of-house engineer for the Rock & Indie Festival (2020). Aaron released his first album, VALLEY, a heartfelt album about his journey of dealing with personal struggles and insecurities and meeting God in the midst. His album was released on streaming services Spotify, Apple Music and more in August 2021.
