Benedict Kwah

Diploma in Music
2019 — 2022

Benedict is a keyboardist/pianist. He started playing classical piano at the age of seven and started to discover more about pop/jazz music independently at the age of 13 through YouTube videos. From the age of 14, he started playing in a church band on a regular basis.

During his time in LASALLE, under the guidance of Tan Wei Xiang, Chok Kerong and many other lecturers, he has learnt about the requirements of playing for a broad range of musical genres as well as gained experience in playing live on stage. Benedict has done arrangements and reharmonisations of many pop songs and is interested in learning more about composing and arranging for pop, games and film music.

Work

Benedict has performed at Bones ‘n Barrels at Sentosa and Hard Rock Café with the band Afterhour Workshop. He has obtained the ABRSM Grade 7 Piano & Grade 8 Theory, and took Music as a GCE O-Level subject.
