Danish Hakiim

Diploma in Music
2019 — 2022

Danish is an aspiring musician, songwriter, composer, arranger and producer. An avid multi-instrumentalist, he was self-taught since the age of 12, before enrolling in LASALLE's Diploma in Music Programme as a bassist in 2019.

His influences include, but are not limited to, modern rock, post rock, shoegaze, ambient, indie, funk, synthwave and progressive rock/metal. Under the guidance of Christy Smith, Danish has grasped a better understanding of his instruments, and developed his own style of playing and composition. He strongly believes in constantly exploring and evolving. Danish hopes to become a hired sessionist, as well as an artiste releasing original music and soundtracks.

Danish was mentored by Saiful Idris of The Great Spy Experiment under the Noise Mentorship Programme in 2018. During his time in LASALLE, Danish took part in Rock & Indie Festival (2019), as well as the Diploma in Music Showcase in 2020 and 2021. He was also involved in the recitals of multiple graduating students in 2021.
