Edward Foo Poh Jien

BA(Hons) Acting
2020 — 2022

Edward has been performing all his life. Starting out as an emcee for his kindergarten graduation at the age of six, Edward later went on to be vice-president of his drama club in Northbrooks Secondary School. This was when he made the decision to join LASALLE to further pursue a career in performing. During his time in the Diploma in Performance Programme, he performed in numerous roles including Teddie Deakin from Arnold Ridley’s The Ghost Train (dir. Dean Lundquist).

After graduating, Edward attended National Service, and freelanced for a year, including playing a mandrill for Disney at the Singapore Zoo. Edward then decided to return to LASALLE to pursue his BA(Hons) Acting. Edward has played many roles in the BA(Hons) Acting Programme, including Herbert from Alfian Sa’at’s Homesick (dir. Peter Zazzali), the woodcutter from Rashomon (dir. Samantha Scott-Blackhall), and Nicholas from Joel Tan’s People (dir. Cherilyn Woo). After graduation, Edward hopes to continue his journey as a multifaceted performer and seeks to push himself further into the performance industry.
