Lim Xin Chelsea

Diploma in Dance
2019 — 2022

Chelsea started her dance journey by learning jazz, tap and ballet at Jazz Cats under Melissa Erez at the age of three, and for the past four years has been teaching and choreographing for her three to 21-year-old students. Coming to LASALLE, she started learning other genres such as contemporary, street, and contemporary Chinese dance which helped her develop her choreographic style.

Using her communication and leadership skills that she learnt from teaching, Chelsea took on the role of student representative and was responsible for the safety and wellbeing of her classmates, as well as the communication between the students and teachers. Chelsea also received the Dare to Dream Scholarship during her studies at LASALLE, along with several MOE bursaries. She has performed in competitions and other national events such as Chingay. Chelsea believes that dancing is a form of communication using the body and enjoys teaching others to enjoy dancing as much as she does.
