BUILDING DIGITAL LITERACY: A linguistic framework for designing graphic systems
Communications in the digital realm mainly take place through graphics. However, a lack of digital literacy prevents some people from participating in digital communications. These proposed ideas offer a linguistic framework that structures graphics as a language, encouraging designers and researchers to consider a different approach to connect with this marginalised group.
