Iris is graduating with a BA(Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles from LASALLE. Her works tend to explore themes that reflect her cultural and feminine identity and the world around her. Her approach to textiles involves playing around with a melange of prints and breaking the rules of the traditional way of doing things. She believes that nothing is ever too much for this insipid world.

Sunburnt Heart

Paying homage to singer-actress Saloma, the kebaya has been 'westernised' and given a new look with the creation of hybrid garments. Textiles techniques such as heat setting and traditional batik motifs were manipulated to create new digital prints. This collection is an attempt to bring back ethnic wear for everyday wear.
