Xia Ming
Xia Ming is a Chinese Singaporean fashion creative and is graduating with a BA(Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles from LASALLE College of the Arts. As a fashion designer, Ming is most inspired by her interest in both contemporary and historical cultures. Her creative approach and aesthetics are often informed by her explorations in self-identity, gender and one’s relationship with dressing the body in society.

Photographic memories
Photographic memories is a collection inspired by personal family photos and intimate childhood memories of the designer’s northern Chinese upbringing. The collection utilises the upcycling of vintage garments and leftover textiles as a medium to convey its inspirations and explore contemporary Chinese aesthetics, as well as the designer’s roots.
